This RGB image is generated using data from the visible channels of the METEOSAT-12 satellite, which belongs to the third generation of Meteosat satellites (MTG). For this reason, data is only available for the area illuminated by the sun. It shows an image that looks very similar to what the human eye would perceive from space. The times shown refer to mainland Spain (one hour earlier in the Canary Islands).
