The climate is changing as a result of human activities, particularly greenhouse gas emissions associated with the use of fossil fuels and deforestation. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) produces periodic reports summarizing the latest scientific literature on climate change. On the other hand, the IPCC Interactive Atlas makes it possible to visualize the different possible future climates at the global and regional levels. However, both are based on global simulations of future climates provided by climate models, which often lack the resolution required for local impact assessment. For this reason, a process of regionalization (downscaling) is necessary to increase its resolution. This section includes both numerical and graphic information related to the regionalized climate change projections for the 21st century for Spain to be used within the framework of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC). The AdapteCCa viewer makes it possible to view and download high-resolution projections over our territory. Additionally, in the archive of climate projections, the PNACC-Scenarios are available for download, along with detailed technical information on their generation and some recommendations for use.
