The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) aims at the development, implementation and delivery of state's weather services and at supporting the performance of other public policies and private activities, contributing to the safety of persons and property, and to the welfare and sustainable development of Spanish society. The Agency has the status of meteorological authority of the state, as well as aeronautical meteorological authority.
